Ethos Ensemble Class Registration

All classes held at Ethos Headquarters - 10 N. Killingsworth St.

Ensembles focus on performance repertoire and group playing.

Fees for ensemble classes: $50 for ten weeks
Spring Term Ensemble Classes March 31st - June 7th
Group classes have ten-week terms. Spring classes begin March 31st
. Registration Deadline for Spring Classes is March 21st.


Primer = Beginner (No prior experience)
Level 1 = Beginner with Experience (Less than one full year lessons / classes)
Level 2 = Intermediate (More than one full year of experience or consent of instructor).

Ensemble Classes for 2nd-12th Graders
CHOIR / VOCAL ENSEMBLE – Singers will learn basic musicianship skills such as sight reading and ear training, and learn how to sing like themselves while making new friends that also love to sing. Students in this class learn creative warm-up exercises and fun techniques to develop the voice, work as a group on harmony, dynamics and rhythm, and practice a fun and challenging repertoire of classics and contemporary selections. Vocal Ensemble performs multiple times throughout the year at recitals, holiday concerts and other outside events.Choir / Vocal Ensemble:
JAZZ COMBO - Students learn to play and arrange classic Jazz and Funk standards in a group setting. Class focuses on improvisation, music theory, swing feel and live performance. Students must have at least one or two years prior experience in order to sign up for this class. Open to students on any instruments with consent of instructor.Jazz Combo:
ROCK BAND – Students learn to play and arrange rock songs in a group setting.  An emphasis is placed on playing together as a group, exploring concepts such as dynamics, improvisation and rocking out!  Songs are picked by the band and arrangements are created based on the band’s instrumentation.  Guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, drummers and singers between the ages of 10 and 18 are encouraged to join.  Students must have at least one year of experience on their instrument in order to sign up for this class. Please contact the front office if you have any questions regarding which group might be the best fit for your student.Rock Band:
SUZUKI VIOLIN GROUP “Playing” Class - An essential component to Suzuki instruction, this class is required for Suzuki Violin students. Students of all levels play through the Suzuki Methods repertory - from Twinkle & beyond - as a group.  Activities also include rhythm games and other skill building activities. This class is not for total beginners (see Group Classes or Private Lessons). Student should have at least 10 weeks of experience before joining.Suzuki Playthrough:
 
   

Private lessons are also available on most instruments.

   
Ethos' headquarters is located at 10 N Killingsworth Street.  The first class will meet at the front desk.

YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED ONLY IF A CLASS IS FULL, CANCELED, OR RESCHEDULED.

Students are responsible for providing their own instruments
(except piano / keyboard).
