Ethos' Sound School Assemblies program offers multicultural music presentations that are designed to introduce students to different genres of music within a historical and cultural background. Current musical offerings include:  Blues (Kinzel & Hyde or Norman Sylvester), Jazz (Dave Fleschner Trio), Hip-Hop (Michael Klindt or Craziness), Rock, Reggae (Earl & the Reggae Allstars), Bluegrass (Sam Hill or Athena & the River City Boys), Eastern European - Gypsy (Three Leg Torso or Gypsy Cab), Celtic (Eddie Parente), Samba (Derek Reith), and more. Presentations stress important cultural aspects of each genre of music and provide ample opportunities for an integrated learning experience.

We are able to keep the cost of the assemblies low by working with talented local musicians willing to give back to the community.  Musicians from all backgrounds are encouraged to work with Ethos staff to develop new presentations for use in Oregon's public schools.
